Pancreatic Cancer UK. Do you know the symptoms of pancreatic cancer? Tummy or back pain. Unexplained weight loss or loss of appetite. Jaundice. Yellow skin or eyes. Change in bowel habits. Indigestion.  If you have jaundice got to your GP or A and E without delay. If you have any of the other symptoms for four weeks or more and you don't know why you have them go to your GP. Remember these symptoms can have more common causes.

Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month

November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. Pancreatic Cancer UK are calling on everyone to put a spotlight on a disease that deserves more attention because right now people are diagnosed too late: too late for treatment, too late to survive. By 2026, it will become the fourth-biggest cancer killer.

What is your experience of SEND provision in Halton?

It has been eight years since the Children and Families Act 2014 introduced significant changes to the delivery of education, health and social care services to children and young people (aged 0–25) with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

A joint Care Quality Commission/Ofsted inspection of Halton’s SEND provision in March 2017, whilst highlighting examples of good practice and improvement, identified areas for development, setting out specific areas for improvement.

What are the signs and symptoms of breast cancer? NHS logo. A change in the size or shape of one or both breasts discharge from either of your nipples, which may be streaked with blood a lump or swelling in either of your armpits dimpling on the skin of your breasts. A rash on or around your nipple, could be red, crusty or eczema like.. A change in the appearance of your nipple, such as becoming sunken into your breast. Breast pain is not usually a symptom of breast cancer. See a GP if you notice any change

Breast Cancer Awareness

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year Breast Cancer UK are talking about the causes of breast cancer and how we can act to prevent it.
Sadly not all breast cancer cases are preventable. But studies show that at least 30% of breast cancer cases are preventable. By making changes to your lifestyle you can reduce your risk of getting breast cancer.

Covid Commemoration Consultation

With a record seven million people awaiting hospital treatment, Louise Ansari, our National Director, told BBC News that people need reassuring that the NHS is still there to help them.
The number of people waiting for an appointment with the NHS England (NHSE) has topped seven million for the first time in August.
