Croftwood Care Home Enter and View

Healthwatch Halton carried out an Enter & View visit to Croftwood Care Home in Runcorn in June 2026. Our team spent time talking with residents, relatives and staff to understand how people are supported and to see what’s working well, as well as where things could be improved.

Overall, Healthwatch Halton found Croftwood Care Home to be a welcoming, caring and professionally managed home where residents appeared well supported and respected. The positive comments received from residents, relatives and staff, together with the observations made during the visit, reflected a service committed to providing compassionate, person-centred care.

Our recommendations for improvements included;

  • Improve wayfinding and visitor access 
  • Continue developing a dementia-friendly environment 
  • Review displayed information regularly
  • Continue the refurbishment programme
