Peelhouse Medical Plaza report

Healthwatch Halton visited Peelhouse Medical Plaza as part of our Enter and View programme to understand patient experiences of accessing GP services, the practice environment, and communication with patients. During the visit we spoke with patients and observed how the practice operates on a typical day.

Overall, patients spoke positively about the quality of care they receive once they are seen, while highlighting ongoing challenges around appointment access and booking systems.

  • Patients consistently praised the professionalism and care provided by clinical staff
  • Appointment access, particularly by telephone at busy times, was the most common concern raised
  • Mixed views on online booking systems, with some patients finding them helpful and others preferring to speak to someone directly
