Tower House GP practice report

Healthwatch Halton carried out an Enter and View visit to Tower House Practice as part of our programme of GP practice visits across Halton. During the visit we observed the practice environment, spoke with patients, and gathered feedback about access to appointments and experiences of care.

Patients spoke positively about staff attitudes and the quality of care once seen. Feedback also highlighted some challenges around accessing routine appointments, navigating digital systems, and the physical environment of the waiting area.

Key highlights

  • Patients described staff as friendly, supportive and professional
  • Positive experiences of care once appointments were secured
  • Clean and orderly environment, though some areas were dated
  • Challenges raised around appointment availability and busy phone lines
  • Mixed experiences of digital systems and the self check-in screen
