A six-week public engagement has launched today (15/10/2024), giving people an opportunity to comment on the issues facing hospital gynaecology and maternity services in Liverpool.

It follows the approval of a case for change by the board of NHS Cheshire and Merseyside at a meeting on the 9th October 2024.

The case for change highlights that the biggest challenge facing these services is the fact that they are located on a different site to most other acute and specialist care, which can cause problems and delays with care – Liverpool Women’s is the only specialist centre for gynaecology and maternity in the country where this is the case.

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a type of depression triggered by seasonal changes. One in twenty people in the UK are diagnosed with the condition, with men more likely to be diagnosed with SAD than women.

Baby Loss Awareness Week is a time for everyone in the baby loss community and beyond to come together to remember and commemorate much-loved and missed babies.
